init(crewai=True) no longer drops CrewAI's Claude calls (anthropic 1.14 and later, a
regression in 0.22.1). When OpenInference's Anthropic instrumentor was already on, for example
turned on onto another tracer provider, CrewAI's init path recorded it as bound to CrewAI's
provider anyway. That provider's exporter then dropped the SDK's own spans of every Claude call,
which were the only record it got.
A plain Anthropic request keeps 0.22.0's record again (anthropic 1.14 and later, under init(anthropic=True)). 0.22.1 dropped the SDK's span of messages.create() along with the
duplicates of a streamed call, so each call lost the request's max_tokens, recorded the dated
response model, and the agent's manifest changed on upgrade. Only the SDK's spans outside
OpenInference's are dropped now. They take what was recorded under them with them (an HTTP
client's spans, which were left as a trace with no model call). The drop also applies where
OpenInference's record of the same calls is in the trace, as when another tool turned the
instrumentor on, and it stops once the instrumentor is turned off or bound elsewhere.
Under trio, a routing call that raises TypeError is made once. The fallback for
anyio < 4.1 caught any TypeError, including one the call itself raised, and made the call
again with anyio's older keyword.
