I built Project Mode to give a project a persistent Coordinator inside DeepSeek Harness. You bring it a goal; it creates or reuses Worker conversations, guides the work, reviews results and keeps the project ready for the next task.

The recording follows a small CLI task, rather than just showing the panels:

1. Delegate: Exporter implements title sorting and tests; Docs writes the usage guide.
2. Human participation: I open Exporter and change the requirement from A→Z to Z→A. It is busy, so native DSH queues the message for its next turn.
3. Coordinator catches up: its full ended-turn result returns automatically. The Coordinator checks Worker state, aligns Docs and reviews the result.
4. Continue later: I ask it to add Cherries using the existing Worker and saved context, without repeating the accepted order. The generated bundle is Pears, Cherries, Bananas, apples; all 9 tests pass, independently rerun against the linked files.

The video uses normal-speed excerpts with waits omitted and labeled throughout. The task took longer than 60 seconds; this is not a speed benchmark. These prompts explicitly request delegation and reuse, so the demo is evidence of the coordination chain, not a claim that every model will choose the right division of work.

Try it in a separate Web environment

This preview targets DSH 0.2.1-rc.3 plus three documented compatibility extensions. Stock rc.3 cannot enable it directly. The new setup command installs the locked runtime and applies those extensions in a separate directory. It does not modify your installed Desktop app or reuse your ordinary DSH profile.

What integrates with DSH

• Persistent native Worker conversations: create, reuse, list, inspect status/dialogue, steer, queue, interrupt and delete through control_workers. Each ended Worker turn returns its complete final AI message automatically.
• Shared project memory: the Coordinator maintains notes.md and archived.md. Both roles contribute reusable knowledge through the context/context.md index and load the relevant files as needed.
• Small UI additions: native sidebar branches, compact Worker capsules, a Worker timeline and the notes tab. You can open a Worker and guide it yourself. Execution, permissions and message delivery remain native DSH mechanisms.

The isolated setup and real task were exercised on macOS arm64. The launcher has macOS/Linux CI; a full Windows installation is unverified. A newly created Worker's timeline can occasionally require Retry; see the verification record for the tested scope and current limits.

Looking for the first 5–10 testers

Try a small project across two or three turns. I would especially like to hear where installation blocks you, whether a direct Worker update is handled well, and whether the next task uses the project records effectively.
