TL;DR（中文）: pnpm run build 报 Failed to import module "unrun"，根因是 tsdown 把 unrun 声明为可选 peer 依赖，而 pnpm 默认只自动安装"非可选"peer。在 Node < 22.18（无原生 TS 支持，例如 22.17.x LTS）上，tsdown 加载 tsdown.config.ts 时会从 native 加载器回落到 unrun 加载器，于是必现此错。修复 = 在根 devDependencies 声明 unrun（补丁见下）。

Root cause

tsdown 0.22.2 picks its config loader like this (dist/options-*.mjs):

• On Node ≥ 22.18 (and 24+), type stripping is enabled by default → native loader → unrun is never imported. This is why clean maintainer/CI machines never hit it.
• On Node 22.x < 22.18 without --experimental-strip-types (e.g. 22.17.x, the LTS line this report ran: node v22.17.0), process.features.typescript is falsy → the loader falls back to unrun, which tsdown imports dynamically and throws when it is missing:

 ERROR  Error: Failed to import module "unrun". Please ensure it is installed.

• unrun is declared in tsdown's package.json as an optional peer dependency (peerDependenciesMeta.unrun.optional: true). pnpm only auto-installs non-optional peers (auto-install-peers), so a fresh pnpm install never installs it — even though it is listed in the lockfile as a peer.

That matches the report exactly: tsc -b tsconfig.host.json succeeds (plain tsc), and only the tsdown step dies.

Repro

Before the fix this produces the exact error above.

Fix (one line + lockfile + generated notices)

Declare unrun in the root devDependencies, which satisfies tsdown's optional peer so the fallback loader works:

No new transitive dependencies — unrun@0.3.1 reuses the already-present rolldown@1.1.1.

Verified

• Before: pnpm exec tsdown --config-loader unrun --env.DSH_BUILD_FACE host → Failed to import module "unrun" (same stack as this report)
• After: same command → ✔ [@deepseek-ai/dsh-host-apiproxy] Build complete (exit 0)
• pnpm run build:lib:host on the default (native) loader still passes → no regression

Workarounds for anyone hitting this today: pnpm add -D unrun -w (as suggested above), or upgrade to Node ≥ 22.18 / 24+ so tsdown uses the native loader.
