Repository navigation
A cleaner viewer, a working library out of the box, and fixes from the first
weeks of use.
Viewer
- A floating hierarchy. It sits on the canvas as a card and folds from its
own header. When folded, a single icon at the top left reopens it. The
header keeps only the views: Diagram, 3D, BOM and Pair. - Harnesses & links. The hierarchy groups a level's cables, harnesses and
fastener stacks. Clicking one selects it and frames all of its lines, and
so does a check's Locate in viewer. - Easier to open. The project card in the Protoboard side bar has an
Open button, and opening a module from Protoboard shows it in the
viewer. - A loading screen with the Protoboard mark while a project loads.
- An empty module offers "Add a part", which opens the library.
- The legend sits at the bottom right. It folds to a tab, and each
colour says what it means. - Menus and tooltips: menus have icons and keyboard shortcuts, and
tooltips are short labels. - The Inspector cuts long descriptions to five lines and shows long
lists ten at a time. It lists every interface of a part, and its pin
mapping fits a narrow panel. - Fonts: Kode Mono throughout under the Protoboard themes. Under any
other theme, only the Protoboard name uses it.
Library and account
- The library works in every project. A project that names no service
now uses the hosted Protoboard library. - Sign-in says plainly when the service can't be reached.
- Manage Account opens your account page from VS Code, and
protoboard accountdoes the same from the command line. - Part pages name each vendor's terms.
parts addskips files the library doesn't redistribute.
Extension
- Help in the Protoboard side bar has Documentation, Feedback and
Issues, and the Discord community. - A shorter trust prompt before a project's code runs.
- Settings groups its commands under More actions.
Fixes
- Windows:
protoboard upgradeandprotoboard stack linkno longer
fail with "Path is a directory" when moving a project to a new stack. An
upgrade that can't finish leaves the project as it was. - The
protoboardcommand outside VS Code runsupgradewith its own,
newer version. - For agents: clearer run logs and loader messages, theme aliases, and
supplier comparison in sourcing.
Every package and the extension move to 0.2.2 together, with
@deltarobotics/uhd-viewer 0.2.1. A 0.2.x project needs no change.
