⚠ BREAKING CHANGES

  • an absent maximum step now permits expansion beyond one. At an explicit upper limit, decreasing Armijo steps with a negative slope may be accepted when strong curvature cannot be reached.
  • custom LineSearch implementations must implement search_from. The search method now evaluates the starting point and delegates by default.
