A small update to 1.3: one new display feature, two fixes and a fresh station list.
New
- Scrolling song text, put together. Some stations send the song only through their 8-letter RDS name, a word or two at a time ("THE", "MIDDLE", "by Jimmy", "Eat", "World on", "91X"). Once the station has gone through the whole message, the app now shows it as one steady line: THE MIDDLE by Jimmy Eat World on 91X, with the station's other RadioText underneath. Stations that tag their songs (RT+) are shown as before. Tested on 91X, Z90, Magic 92.5 and Alt 98.7.
Fixed
- A station that scrolls its RDS name is no longer named after whatever word was standing still (91X was called "Matthew" during a talk break). It shows its frequency instead, and the signal details mark the PS as "(scrolling)".
- With the debug info open, scrolling up to the favorites jumped back down every second. Fixed. Long-press the debug info to copy all of it.
Station list
- Refreshed from the FCC on 2026-10-26, plus two call changes the FCC pages don't show yet: 103.9 KRCD is now KLXM, 98.3 KRCV is now KLXO.
