AILmanac 2.2: the unread manual
The unread manual
Claude has never seen 68% of the Claude Code docs.
We replayed 15 months of the official Claude Code docs, one week at a time (3,604 syncs of a community mirror, July 2025 to October 2026), and compared what each Claude model could have read at its training cutoff with the docs today.
- 68% of what the docs say today was not in them at the end of June 2026, the training cutoff of Fable 5.1, Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5.
- Claude Haiku 4.5, cutoff February 2025: at least 98.6%.
- Since June, 11 CLI flags, 21 slash commands, 3 hook events and 168 environment variables reached the reference tables.
- Half of all sentences are deleted or reworded within 196 days.

AILmanac 2.1: copy a page as Markdown, share it, and a preview for every page
Three additions that make a page easier to pass on.
Copy as Markdown
Every docs page has a Copy as Markdown button under its title. It copies the page as plain Markdown, opening with the title, the page address and the date it was last verified, so the source travels with the text when you paste it into a chat or a file.
The same text is served at the page's address plus .md:
https://derob98.github.io/ailmanac/docs/claude-code/plan-mode.md
Share from the page
A row at the end of every page: X, LinkedIn, Reddit, Hacker News, copy link, and the system share sheet on phones. They are ordinary links; the site still loads no third-party scripts.
A preview for every page
A link to any page now unfurls with that page's own title, section, level and verified date, instead of one generic card for the whole site.
Plugin 1.0.1
The ailmanac and claude-md-check skills read pages from their Markdown copies on the site. Update with claude plugin marketplace update ailmanac.
Labels are translated in all twelve languages. Full list in CHANGELOG.md.
AILmanac 2.0: the field guide moves into Claude Code
AILmanac is a free, open field guide to Claude and the AI tools around it. Every page carries the date it was last checked against its source.
Since v1.0.0 in June the guide has grown from 132 pages to 310, and it now works inside Claude Code as well as in the browser.

claude plugin install ailmanac@ailmanacailmanacanswers questions about Claude, Claude Code, the API and MCP by looking them up in the guide and citing the page with its verified date, instead of answering from memory./ailmanac:claude-md-checkaudits yourCLAUDE.mdagainst the repository it describes: do the commands and paths exist, do the imports resolve, and which "never do X" lines need a hook because memory files are context, not enforcement.- Seven role-based skill packs come with it.
The skills only read public pages from the site and this repository.
The Claude Code cheat sheet
One page of flags, commands, shortcuts, permission modes and file locations, each line confirmed against the official docs on 2026-10-13. PDF · PNG · dark PNG · as a page
Also new
- AI Models & Assistants: 94 pages on GPT, Gemini, Mistral, DeepSeek, Qwen, local models and agent frameworks, written for people who already use Claude.
- Interactive lessons on 260 pages, up from 47.
- Navigation regrouped from sixteen flat sections into six areas, and every page now ends with a "Next" block.
llms.txtcovers every page again.
Fixed
- Plan Mode is described as the official docs now describe it: Claude can run shell commands to explore while planning, so it is not strictly read-only.
