Why would we pay apple to give away software ? Edit: If i am remembering correctly we also need to have a business or entity to sign with so that we sign as "Deskflow" not "my name" . Since Apple does not allow you to use project names on the cert. |

Thanks for the fast reply, not wanting to throw money at apple makes perfect sense. That said, I wonder whether notarization necessarily has to be blocked on the project itself owning the Apple Developer account. With that many users of this project, chances are that someone already has access to an Apple Developer account anyway? (I e.g. already need the dev account for work). The signature would obviously not show Deskflow, which is not ideal. But just as an idea, I totally understand if you want to let it as it is |

There is not a chance that we would use a random persons signature. It would either be mine or deskflows. As for scary "damaged app" if you don't like how that is handled let apple know they are folks responsible for the warning and its wording. |
Uh oh!

First off all: Great project, love it!
I just had a quick question: Why dont you notarize the macos app? So is there a practical reason why this doesnt work?
In the readme there is this note:
I couldnt find an explaination why, I am very sorry if you already answered it somewhere...
