PKG Folderizer 01.057.000

Fixes

  • Stops the intermittent startup crash caused by Mesa compiling the procedural backdrop shader (SIGSEGV at fault address 0x9 / 0x18, often in nir_build_imm). The animated backdrop fill is temporarily disabled; the rest of the UI is unchanged.
  • Richer crash reports for the next time something faults: breadcrumb trail of boot/work notes, build stamp, registers, RIP candidates, and a raw ucontext dump so reports can be symbolicated even when Prospero’s signal context RIP is wrong.

Notes

  • Update is recommended for everyone on 01.056 and earlier if the app sometimes fails to open.

PKG Folderizer 01.056.000

Rollback to the 01.049.000 build. Versions 01.050–01.054 introduced intermittent startup crashes (OpenGL / Mesa) on many consoles.

This release is the same app as 01.049.000, with the version number raised so every console can update forward to it.

Update if the app dies on the splash / first open after 01.050 or later.

PKG Folderizer 01.049.000

Fixes console crashes that happened right after convert when writing a .ffpkg (UFS2) image. The packer no longer touches Prospero's broken random-number device at the start of that step.

If the title quit just as it said "Writing UFS2 image" (Hellblade, PS4Xplorer, dump-to-ffpkg, and similar), update and try again.

PKG Folderizer 01.048.000

Fixes console crashes after convert: AMPR no longer scans eboot/sce_module for import names (that path was SIGSEGV'ing after large extracts), and starting a convert frees cover-art memory first so big package layouts do not OOM-trap the app.

Install this if the title quit after "ampr imports" or while pressing Start on a large package.

Self-update no longer stalls while the package list is scanning — you can update as soon as the dialog appears, even right after launch. Starting a convert also refuses packages that are not a real PS5/PS4 image (wrong or incomplete .pkg), and the error now includes the file header bytes so bad downloads are easier to spot.

If Update said "Wait for the current convert to finish" while nothing was converting, install this and try again.

PKG Folderizer 01.046.000

Fixes out-of-memory crashes when starting very large naps packages such as Gran Turismo (PPSA01317). Opening the package layout no longer expands the full block table into RAM; the title heap is also raised to 384 MB for these titles.

If Start died right after "Opening nested pfs_image.dat", update and try again.

PKG Folderizer 01.045.000

Fixes a crash at the end of Start on large games (for example Mortal Shell II / PPSA34008): after the package finished extracting, the AMPR launch fix could SIGSEGV while scanning a huge eboot.bin.

Also keeps the resume journal until post-extract steps finish, so a crash during the launch fix no longer forces a full re-extract of tens of gigabytes.

Update, then Start the title again — already-extracted files should resume.

Store updates now pin the exact app version the store listed, so a publish that lands mid-download can no longer swap in a larger build and fail with "The store sent more than the app's size."

If you already hit that error, open the store again and retry.

PKG Folderizer 01.043.000

Large games (Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, Silent Hill, Persona, and similar) should convert without running out of memory at Start.

The app heap is larger, and the package layout is no longer kept twice in RAM while converting.

PKG Folderizer 01.042.000

Selecting huge FPKGs (Call of Duty, Metal Gear Solid Delta, and similar) no longer tries to open their full layout just to estimate size — that was still able to crash the app on 01.041.

This build also writes a short crash report when something fatal happens (signal or out-of-memory). The next launch uploads it so we can see what went wrong.
