MCP Orchestrator v0.3.0 — Release Notes

Connect MCPs locally and orchestrate workflows between them (Spotify, Pieces, filesystem, your own). Chain tools across MCPs and run them from any MCP client (Cursor, Claude Desktop, Windsurf, Continue, etc.) or the Web UI.

What's new in 0.3.0

  • Full MCP management API — The orchestrator exposes itself as an MCP server. Add it to any MCP client and operate workflows, MCPs, the tunnel, and installs entirely from chat—no web UI required.
  • ~25 MCP tools — Workflow CRUD, MCP add/remove/enable/disable, call_tool (test connections), tunnel control, registry/npm install, config and logs.
  • Resources — orchestrator://glossary (AI readme), orchestrator://config, orchestrator://status, orchestrator://logs.
  • Glossary — Customize the AI reference via docs/glossary.md.

Prerequisites

  • Node.js 18+ — nodejs.org
  • Git — required for the one-line installer (manual install can use source archives)

Install

Option 1: One-line install (recommended)

Clones to ~/mcp-orchestrator, installs deps, builds, and starts the server. Auto-starts on login by default.

Mac & Linux:

curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dev-nolant/MCP-Orchestrator/main/scripts/bootstrap.sh | bash

Skip auto-start on login:

curl -sSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dev-nolant/MCP-Orchestrator/main/scripts/bootstrap.sh | bash -s -- --no-startup

Windows (PowerShell):

irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dev-nolant/MCP-Orchestrator/main/scripts/bootstrap.ps1 | iex

Windows, skip auto-start: $env:NO_STARTUP=1; irm https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dev-nolant/MCP-Orchestrator/main/scripts/bootstrap.ps1 | iex

Option 2: Install from release source (pinned version)

  1. Download Source code (zip) or Source code (tar.gz) from the Assets section below.
  2. Extract and run the installer:

Mac & Linux:

cd mcp-orchestrator-*
chmod +x scripts/*.sh
./scripts/install.sh

Windows (PowerShell as Administrator):

cd mcp-orchestrator-*
.\scripts\install.ps1

After install

Open http://mcporch.local:3847 (or http://localhost:3847) in your browser.

The installer adds mcporch.local to your hosts file for a friendly URL.

Use as MCP: Add http://localhost:3847/mcp (Streamable HTTP) to your MCP client. Read orchestrator://glossary first for the full tool reference.
