erdify 1.1.0 adds --strict, so a file that can't be parsed fails the run instead of silently dropping its entities from the diagram, and fixes a crash on .sql files that aren't valid UTF-8. The default behavior is unchanged.
Added
--strict(andstrict = trueunder[tool.erdify]) makes a model or
.sqlfile that cannot be parsed fail the run: erdify reports every failing
file on stderr, then exits1without writing anything. Without it, such a
file is still reported and skipped, and the run exits0, as before. From
Python, passstrict=Truetoparse_models_directory,ASTDatabaseParser
orSqlSchemaParser. They raise the newerdify.ModelParseError, whose
errorsattribute lists every(file, message)pair.
Fixed
- A
.sqlfile that is not valid UTF-8 (or cannot be read) no longer aborts
the whole run. Like a file with a syntax error, it is reported on stderr and
skipped, and the other files are still rendered. With--strictit is
reported together with all other failures.
