Ledger 0.6.1 — SEC issuer search

Company search now finds SEC issuers that do not yet have a listed ticker. Search by company name or CIK, select the correct issuer, and open its filings in Ledger’s existing reader. Anthropic, PBC (CIK 0002130357), including its public S-1, is supported.

• Existing ticker search stays available immediately; EDGAR name lookup runs when the ticker directory has no match.
• Similar names require an explicit selection, with CIKs shown to distinguish the issuer from similarly named funds.
• Discovered company names remain visible in the watchlist after restart.
• Search failures can be retried; dismissed or outdated search results cannot reopen or replace a newer search.

This is a focused issuer-discovery update. Existing notes, highlights, watchlists, and saved filings remain on your computer. No manual backup is required to update.

Ledger checks for updates after opening and while running. Use the update banner, or Settings → Check for updates → Download update → Restart and install.

Ledger 0.6.0 — Business Overview

Business Overview brings filing-derived business descriptions, company ecosystem maps, and board and management profiles into one workspace.

• Read business descriptions with business lines and operating segments, expandable text, and links to the underlying filing.
• Highlight passages and attach notes directly to business descriptions. Find them again in the company's Highlights/Notes tab.
• Explore company connections, including suppliers, customers, financiers, and regulatory bodies where covered, with sources and Jev confidence shading.
• Zoom into ecosystem maps and drag to move around. Export maps as PNG images with Ledger branding.
• View board and management profiles with available portraits, career history, outside roles, and source links.
• Access the initial set of 100 source-dated company snapshots. Previously downloaded coverage remains available offline.

Coverage is selective and source-dated, not a complete list of every relationship or role. Jev confidence scores are model assessments, not guarantees or calibrated probabilities. Filing extraction and portrait availability vary by company. The planned 13F feature is not included in this release.

Existing notes, highlights, and watchlists remain on your computer. No account, cloud sync, or manual backup is required to update. The 0.6.0 installation and preservation of existing and newly saved research after a Windows restart have been confirmed on a second Windows machine.

Ledger 0.5.0 and 0.5.1 check for updates shortly after opening and every four hours while open. When connected, the update banner offers View update, followed by Download update and Restart and install. You choose when to install. Settings > Check for updates is also available.

Ledger 0.5.1 — Reader improvements

• Filings open with Contents selected in the reader sidebar. Saved passage links still take you directly to the relevant note.
• Proxies, prospectuses and registrations, and ownership filings now open in the Ledger Reader alongside financial and news filings.
• Selecting text offers Highlight, Add note, and Highlight and add note beside the selection.
• Copy a saved highlight or note as text or PNG, including its quote, note and filing citation.
• Removed the Live SEC filings label from company pages.
• Preserved sections and links in older registration filings.

Existing notes, highlights and watchlists use the same local research storage. No account or cloud sync is required. PDF-only primary attachments are not converted to selectable reader text in this release.

In Ledger 0.5.0, open Settings → Check for updates → Download update → Restart and install. You can also use Ledger-Windows-Setup.exe below. You choose when to install.

Download Ledger-Windows-Setup.exe below, close Ledger if it is running, and run the installer. The versioned installer is the same file. Windows 10 or 11, x64.

Existing private-demo users must install this release once to enable the public update channel.
