v1.1
Minor Update:
- added (open-source) .ico icon to program.
What it is
A tiny Windows tray app that keeps your default microphone volume fixed at a target you choose (1–100%). It re-applies the setting every 10 seconds so other apps can't change it behind your back.
Highlights
- Set and persist a target volume (1–100%)
- One-click "Install autorun" to start hidden at sign-in
- Lightweight single EXE. No admin. No telemetry. No logs
Download
- Windows x64:
MicLockTray.exe(single file, no .NET runtime required)
Installation
- Download
MicLockTray.exe - Run directly - no installation required
- First run may trigger Windows SmartScreen: click "More info → Run anyway"
Use
- Set target volume…: choose 1–100%. Values are clamped to this range.
- Force now (X%): immediately sets the mic to your target.
- Pause/Resume enforcement: toggles the 10-second enforcement loop.
- Install autorun / Remove autorun: adds/removes a per-user startup entry.
- Exit: quits the tray app.
Config file (for reference): %LocalAppData%\MicLockTray\config.json
Uninstall
- Tray menu → Remove autorun
- Tray menu → Exit
- Delete the app folder and (optionally)
%LocalAppData%\MicLockTray
