  • Photos: fixed photos not being saved on the PC. The photo folder is now set as the Sony SDK documents, and "Save photos to" switches to "PC + card" as soon as the camera allows it. When a photo is not taken (for example, the camera is in movie mode) or does not reach the PC, a message says why.
  • Click to focus: clicking the preview now focuses there even when the camera does not offer remote touch: the app moves the focus area to that point (switching "Wide" to a spot, which "Cancel click focus" undoes). In manual focus, the click explains what to change.
  • Debug log: the log file is now off by default. Turn it on in Settings › Debugging › "Record a debug log" before reproducing a problem.
  • Gear Lever / KDE: the app no longer shows up twice when the AppImage was installed with Gear Lever (or a similar tool), in the menu, in Gear Lever and in the KDE taskbar.

Download KamLynk-0.8-x86_64.AppImage, make it executable (chmod +x) and run it. Works on x86_64 distributions with glibc 2.34+.

KamLynk is not affiliated with Sony. The AppImage includes Sony Camera Remote SDK libraries under Sony's license and open-source components listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md. libusb-1.0.26-source.zip is the source code of the bundled libusb (LGPL-2.1).
