Description
Description
If there is a link in a text component (type 10, using the components V2 update), the search filter supposed to find messages that contains links ("Links" on mobile, "has: link" elsewhere) won't display it. I tested in the Discord mobile app and browser version of Discord (still on mobile but with desktop mode enabled), so I guessed that it is an issue with the API.
Steps to Reproduce
- Make a bot send a message using the components V2 update, that contains a text component (type 10) with a link in the content;
- Search for messages in the channel that contains a link.
Expected Behavior
You should see the bot's message in the search results.
Current Behavior
There isn't the bot's message in the search results.
Screenshots/Videos
The bot sent two messages with a link in the channel, Discord only found one message.
You may also notice that in the mobile app, there is some abnormal spacing above and below text components (both inside and outside containers), and that the @silent
indicator is displayed incorrectly.
The previous screenshot shows that there are two messages with a link, but Discord only found one.
The shown experiment uses masked links to not advertise, but there is the same issue for normal URLs.
