  • reorganize CircleCI config
    • remove hardcoding of testing environment, use parameters matrix
    • use version 2.1
    • use cimg to replace deprecated circleci images
    • test currently supported versions only (py3.8-3.11, dj3.2-4.2)
  • tox test currently supported versions and upcoming python 3.12 and django 5.0 (main branch)
  • webpack 4 will not be supported in node v17 onwards, monkey-patch in webpack test config so that webpack 4 can be tested in node v18 and v20 (node v16 EOL on 2023-09-11)
