Keel 0.7.0 adds two defaults that are on for existing sites too:

  • Protected Search Results: hide password-protected posts from searches by visitors without access, while preserving per-post editing and unlocked-password access.
  • Broken Shortcodes: hide recognizable markup left by removed shortcodes from readers, preserve enclosed text and stored content, and report recently affected posts in Site Health. Editors retain the evidence; examples, bare bracketed words and REST output stay unchanged.

Turn either setting off under Settings → Site Defaults. Network Policy can manage them across a multisite network.

Settings also gain visible lock markers and linked summaries separating configuration locks from network policy. Network drop-downs and number fields now have accessible names.

Requires WordPress 6.4+ and PHP 7.4+; tested through WordPress 7.1. Saved preferences are preserved. Typography fixes remain in the separate feature plugin.
