The first release of ImageTagger for macOS, a native port of the Java/Kotlin ImageTagger.
- Predicts keyword tags for photos with a deep learning model that runs on your Mac with Core ML.
- Shows the tags next to the photo's metadata, and copies them separated by commas, spaces or as hashtags.
- Saves the tags to the photos' keywords: in JPEG, HEIC and TIFF files, and in XMP sidecar files for RAW images. Existing keywords are kept.
- Add images with File › Add Images…, by dragging images or folders onto the window or the Dock icon, or with Open With in Finder.
- Tag images from the Terminal with the
imagetaggercommand, which saves the tags to the files like Save Tags to All Images. Install it with ImageTagger › Install Command Line Tool…, and runimagetagger --helpfor its options.
Requirements: macOS 26.5 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel Macs.
Installing: open ImageTagger-1.0.dmg and drag ImageTagger to the Applications folder. The app is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
