Added

  • Local agents can open a fresh session with agentaps new-session and receive a bundled agentaps skill through ACP prompt context to discover available commands.

  • Start standalone local terminal sessions from the project plus menu. Session rows show a coding agent logo or terminal icon before their status.

  • Desktop builds provide a separate Ubuntu 26.04 DEB linked against its native libxml2 ABI, with a clean-container installation check and distinct download labels.

  • Record voice messages or attach audio files in the desktop composer and send the recording directly to audio-capable ACP agents for transcription and a response. Queued recordings survive restarts.

Fixed

  • Registry release validation includes the Linux audio dependencies required by voice recording.

  • Keep both columns visible in Split diffs by wrapping long lines, and retain global keyboard shortcuts after switching to an empty workspace.

  • Terminal dependency setup locates its Zig installer inside container-based builds.

  • Linux DEB packages accept LLVM's current libc++ runtime package names while retaining support for the older versioned names. CI verifies the documented Ubuntu 24.04 prerequisites and corrected package dependencies in a clean container without Zig.

  • Installation guidance lists Zig and terminal build dependencies before Cargo commands, provides terminal-free installs, and explains LLVM runtime setup for Ubuntu 24.04 DEB packages.

  • Session replies use the full conversation width, align text and actions with activity labels, and give paragraphs and turns more breathing room.

  • Hide the sidebar New button label when the sidebar is narrow so its bottom controls fit.

  • Keep composer controls on one row and the terminal toggle clear of context usage by shortening labels and compacting indicators in narrow panes.

Changed

  • Filter sidebar search to Current, Active, or Archived sessions from a filter icon beside search. Active sessions include visible statuses and pending questions.

  • Align session icons with project folder icons using the same left margin and padding for both rows.

  • New split panes show the new-session chooser inline immediately, with project search ready to type.

  • Desktop checkout review uses GPUI Kit 0.7.3 with native-theme-gpui 0.6.1 for selectable diff text, horizontal scrolling in Unified, and inline change highlighting.

  • Diff files start collapsed, expand or collapse when their header is clicked, and show colored addition and removal counts after the filename. Expansion choices survive refreshes.

  • When audio support is unavailable, hovering Record shows a clickable link to the Codex ACP audio pull request or Claude ACP voice input issue.

  • Contributor instructions describe the release trigger, protocol versioning, and trusted publishing configuration checks.

  • Trusted publishing setup instructions use the transferred cachix/agentaps repository.

  • Working and waiting agent status messages no longer show the Escape stop hint.

  • Automated crates.io releases use trusted publishing with short-lived GitHub OIDC credentials. Manual dry runs can verify authentication without uploading packages.

  • Publishing a stable GitHub release automatically uploads missing crate versions to crates.io from the same tag. Already published versions are skipped for retries, and the workflow supports manual validation without uploads.

  • Installation instructions and website fallback downloads point to matching Agentaps 0.5.2 releases on GitHub and crates.io.

The macOS app is ad hoc signed and is not notarized. The Windows installer is unsigned.
