This is the first release of Chat Exporter, a browser extension that allows you to export conversations from ChatGPT and Claude.ai to Markdown format.

Installation

1. Download the chat-exporter.zip file from this release
2. Unzip the file
3. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/
4. Enable "Developer mode" using the toggle in the top-right corner
5. Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped folder
6. The extension should now appear in your extensions list and be ready to use

Usage

1. Navigate to ChatGPT or Claude.ai
2. Start or continue a conversation
3. Click the Chat Exporter icon in your browser toolbar
4. Click the "Export Chat" button
5. Choose where to save the Markdown file
6. Your conversation is now saved as a Markdown file!
