Error:

System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'libuv': The specified module could not be found.

OS: Ubuntu 14.04

@aayushkapoor206 I had the same issue yesterday on Windows when updating to the latest packages. It seems the libuv.dll is in the runtimes folder of the Microsoft.AspNetCore.Server.Kestrel package but not lib folder.

Assuming its the same to fix on Ubuntu, go to your packages folder, find ..\Microsoft.AspNetCore.Server.Kestrel\ and copy the dll from the relevent runtimes folder to the lib folder everywhere where your Microsoft.AspNetCore.Server.Kestrel.dll exists. Hopefully that will get you up and running again.

If you're using rc1 packages you actually need to install libuv yourself.

sudo apt-get install make automake libtool curl
curl -sSL https://github.com/libuv/libuv/archive/v1.8.0.tar.gz | sudo tar zxfv - -C /usr/local/src
cd /usr/local/src/libuv-1.8.0
sudo sh autogen.sh
sudo ./configure
sudo make
sudo make install
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/src/libuv-1.8.0 && cd ~/
sudo ldconfig

It's definitely a pain. RC2 will be shipping with libuv.so.
