Changed

  • --color-scheme=no-preference now fails fast with UNSUPPORTED_OPERATION (same treatment as --extension in 0.5.9) instead of silently behaving as light. Same class of upstream limitation: CSS removed prefers-color-scheme: no-preference and Chromium no longer represents "no preference" — it reports light, and Playwright's colorScheme: 'no-preference' degrades to light as well, so there is no way to express it. --color-scheme now documents light|dark only (help text updated).
