RTerm v3.9.5 — AI-Native Terminal App by Hyperspace Technologies

v3.9.5 (2026-09-26)

Security hardening release: removed a committed SSH private key, closed the
audit backlog (52 -> 24 findings, 0 critical/high remaining), and made 8
agent tools visible in the tools UI again.

Security

  • Removed id_rsa / id_rsa.pub from the repository. A
    passphrase-protected OpenSSH keypair was tracked at the repo root; nothing
    referenced it. Removed from the index and gitignored. The key material
    remains in git history — rotate it and treat it as compromised.
  • Dependency audit 52 -> 24 (0 critical / 0 high remaining).
    npm audit fix applied the semver-compatible batch; seroval forced to
    ^1.6.7 via overrides (closes the seroval RCE via JSON deserialization that
    arrived transitively through @opentui/solid); pdfjs-dist upgraded 3.11 ->
    6.3.289 (closes PDF.js arbitrary JavaScript execution on opening a crafted
    PDF) with PdfPreview migrated to the v6 API (cleanup() replaces
    destroy(), render() takes canvas). Remaining 24 findings are low /
    moderate with no non-breaking fix path.

Fixed

  • 8 agent tools were dispatchable but invisible. manage_incident,
    manage_collab, manage_jump_path, manage_approval, snapshot_output,
    replay_agent_run, plan_offline_join, and net_device shipped as real
    tools but were never registered in BUILTIN_TOOL_INFO, so they were
    missing from the tools section and the built-in tool status summary. All
    eight are now registered with descriptions.

Verification

  • npm run test: all extreme suites pass (1,483 assertions, 0 failures).
  • typecheck, typecheck:backend, typecheck:mobile-web: clean.
  • npm audit --omit=dev: 24 low/moderate, 0 high, 0 critical.

Install

macOS: After installing, run xattr -cr /Applications/RTerm.app to remove quarantine.

Linux AppImage: chmod +x RTerm-*.AppImage && ./RTerm-*.AppImage

Linux deb: sudo dpkg -i RTerm-*.deb

Linux rpm: sudo rpm -i RTerm-*.rpm
