RTerm v3.9.7 — AI-Native Terminal App by Hyperspace Technologies

v3.9.7 (2026-09-30)

The neuralos npm alias is retired — RTerm now publishes only as
rterm-backend.

The neuralos name on npm now references an unrelated application, so
RTerm no longer publishes under it. Changes:

  • scripts/publish-npm.mjs publishes ONLY rterm-backend (the neuralos
    entry is removed from the PACKAGES list; the script header documents
    the retirement).
  • The release workflow's publish job is renamed to "Publish rterm-backend
    to npm".
  • The neuralos keyword is dropped from the npm package template.
  • The neuralOS PLUGIN (plugins/neuralos/) is untouched — it still ships
    inside the rterm-backend tarball and the desktop app; only the npm
    PACKAGE NAME alias is retired.
  • Previously published neuralos versions (3.8.9–3.9.6) remain on the
    registry, un-deprecated; no new version is published under that name.

Install

macOS: After installing, run xattr -cr /Applications/RTerm.app to remove quarantine.

Linux AppImage: chmod +x RTerm-*.AppImage && ./RTerm-*.AppImage

Linux deb: sudo dpkg -i RTerm-*.deb

Linux rpm: sudo rpm -i RTerm-*.rpm
