  • Fixed frame rates from 30 to 960 fps. Pick 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, 180, 240, 360, 480 or 960, or Display-Limited (the old Uncapped), which runs at your display's refresh rate. The game's timing is converted for each rate, so movement, physics, cloth and camera behave as they do at 30 (#196).
  • Faster on CPU-bound PCs. The renderer prepares the game's draws on several threads at once and commits them in order, on by default. Per-draw costs are cut throughout. On integrated GPUs with 8 GB or more of video memory, the game's buffers are bound directly. At the Central Yharnam lamp on a Radeon 8060S the frame rate went from about 122 to 150-165 fps at 1080p (#196).
  • A new launcher. The setup window is rebuilt as a sidebar of pages: Game, Online, PC Enhancements, Patches, Shaders, Plugins and Settings. It has a violet theme over a background picked at random each start. Settings has Menu animations (turn them off for a still window) and Menu text size (Auto or 100-400%), shared by the launcher and the in-game menus (#196).
  • New in-game menus. F9 and F10 are redone in the same look. You can drag them by their top bar and resize them from their edges. F9's Patches page switches patches while the game runs (#196).
  • Menus answer at once. A closing menu no longer waits for its fade-out. A message, Yes/No or quantity box takes OK as soon as it is up, so an early press is no longer lost (Hunter's Mark, quitting, buying, selling, fortifying, discarding). The loading screen keeps its fade, so the world is not shown before it has settled (#196).
  • The community patch list. The shadPS4 community patches are available as bbhost patches, checked against the 1.09 game. SKILL ISSUE replaces the death message's YOU DIED, off by default. Enable Screen Space Reflections now keeps the game's reflection tuning, which makes it much cheaper on the GPU (#196).
  • New defaults. The Performance Patch (Perf Increase), Quick re-entry, Easier run range, The Old Hunters and Skip company logos are on by default. None of them changes gameplay, so a default setup stays vanilla online. Matching Region starts at Worldwide for new profiles (#196).
  • Camera and controls. The mouse wheel zooms the camera out to six times the game's distance, and the middle button resets it. Keyboard movement ramps up over a few frames instead of snapping (#196).
  • Fixes. Restoring a minimized window no longer freezes the picture. With tooling and logging off, bbhost writes no log and opens no console window (#196).
  • Plugins. The plugin API has keyboard and mouse controls, the player's camera, on-screen text and drawing inside the scene. Two new plugins come with it as signed downloads below (bbhost-plugin-quake-*, bbhost-plugin-lohit-*). Get them with the setup window's Get the latest official plugins on the Plugins page, or put the file and its .sig in your plugins folder. They are not inside this release's zip and tarball packages (#196):
    • Quake plays Bloodborne in first person with Quake 3's movement and guns: rocket jumps, grenades, plasma, shotgun and machine gun, with physics presets from VQ3 to CPMA and DeFRaG.
    • Lo-Hit draws the map's collision inside the scene. Its Performance mode keeps the sun's and moon's shadows and the fog.
