Hello Derek, Thanks for letting me know something was amiss. I have used the same email for both GitHub and Drupal. I cannot seem to find out why it is not working correctly. I will continue to research why it is not crediting my account properly.

Hey Derek, I asked Damien McKenna about this problem and he said, “That's the problem with doing Drupal contrib work on github - it doesn't work with the Drupal issue queues so you don't get attribution.” So, I guess that was expected? Not sure if there is anything to do about it now.

Interesting. I guess you'll receive credit when we close out the D8 issue in the queue.
