1. git clone git@github.com:dvdt/gmail-filters.git
2. Enable 'Filter import/export' in Gmail Labs
3. In Gmail > Settings > Filters, import common_filters.xml
4. Examine/enable/customize the filters that make sense for you
5. Revel in how you are now one step closer to inbox zero nirvana
