Embody externalizes TouchDesigner COMPs and DATs to diffable files and restores them on open. Envoy is the MCP server inside it that lets an AI assistant build, wire and inspect live networks. A session stays with its own TouchDesigner, or stops.

  • No drift into another project (#147). When a session's TouchDesigner closes or crashes while another instance is open, calls now fail with envoy.instance.unavailable instead of quietly running against the other project, and an instance= naming the gone instance is refused. The session re-attaches when it comes back.
  • Saves are followed. A save that renames the .toe keeps the session on the same TouchDesigner, even while another instance is the registry default.
  • launch_td and restart_td act on the session's own instance. They used to quit and relaunch the registry default; now they reopen the session's newest saved .toe and never touch another project's TD. +27 tests.
