Dari now inspects iOS apps. The Dari Swift package records WKWebView bridge traffic, and the desktop app shows it next to your Android apps. dari, dari-core, dari-noop, dari-runtime, dari-inspector-protocol and dari-gradle-plugin 3.0.0 are on Maven Central.

Android apps need no migration. The wire protocol stays at version 1, so desktop 3.0.0 still connects to Android apps on 2.x, and older desktop apps keep working with Android apps on 3.0.0. iOS apps need desktop 3.0.0 or later.

What's Changed

  • feat: inspect iOS Simulator apps from the desktop app by @easyhooon in #256
    • New Dari Swift package (iOS 15+). Add https://github.com/easyhooon/dari from 3.0.0, call Dari.shared.start() in debug builds and record calls with Dari.shared.interceptor(tag:). Pairing, tags, fire-and-forget, truncation and masking match Android.
    • Apps serve the inspector protocol on 127.0.0.1 only. The desktop app finds them under an iOS Simulator device, and works on a Mac without adb.
    • The handshake gains optional platform and osVersion. The status line and exports show the iOS version.
  • feat: inspect iOS apps on USB devices from the desktop app by @easyhooon in #257
    • iPhones and iPads attached over USB appear under their own name, reached through macOS's usbmuxd. Unplugging, replugging and app restarts reconnect on their own.
    • iOS connections are macOS-only by design; Wi-Fi is not offered.
    • Adds the sample-ios app and the iOS guide with install, compatibility and troubleshooting.
  • fix(desktop): restore the main window on a secondary screen by @easyhooon in #259
    • A window last placed on another screen no longer reopens at the minimum size on the main screen.
  • fix(desktop): readable dropdown chevrons and a sensible export folder by @easyhooon in #260
    • Pickers and the Export button draw a clearer chevron. The save dialog opens in the last export folder, or Downloads the first time, instead of /Applications.
  • test(desktop): fix race in FinishLinuxUpdateScriptTest by @easyhooon in #258
  • fix: skip rounded Scarf download observations by @easyhooon in #254
  • Docs: README and site now describe Android and iOS (#261).
