Import Github project to Gitlab Gitlab has a native plugin to import a Github repository, but it’s very basic. I wrote a real script that import all Github organization stuff to Gitlab.

• Members email (you can manually parse "git shortlog -s -n -e")
• Teams ==> Gitlab groups
• Labels
• Milestones
• Projects
• Issues
• Issues comments
• Issues date (via a SQL file to execute on the MySQL or Postgres server)
• Pull Request ==> Gitlab merge request

How to use it

Create a secret.php file on the root of the project (it will be ignored by git):
