Editor flickering and jumping on long lines of xml

As you can see in the screencast, when there are long lines the editor jumps back on horizontal scroll. Also the tag highlight is flickering.

I see the same behavior when editing Typescript files. The editor window slides to the far left when the cursor is on the far right of a long text line. Im using Eclipse 2023-03 (4.27.0)
