Brief Introduction to GitHub

This repository has the code and data files necessary for the Introduction to GitHub 'Workshop' on September 16, 2015 at UCSB. The objective is to get exposure to and practice with GitHub.

Before the workshop, complete the following steps. For detailed instruction, refer to the Initial Setup section of Hadley Wickham's book, Karl Broman's tutorial or the instructions in our Ocean Health Index Manual.

2. Download and install git software, set up your git identity
