First public release of the standalone scanner-independent NSE compatibility runtime.

Registry artifact: eggsec-nse 0.1.0 (crates.io).
Source: this tag (9982c7f) is the exact commit published to the registry; the crate's .cargo_vcs_info.json records the same SHA.

Contents:

  • Canonical pipeline NseRunRequest → execute_nse_run → NseRunReport.
  • Optional features nse, nse-ssh2, sandbox, stress-testing (no defaults).
  • Execution profiles ManualPermissive/ManualStrict/AgentSafe/CiSafe/CompatibilityLab.
  • Clean-room compatibility corpus with provenance (docs/PROVENANCE.md); no upstream Nmap scripts bundled.

Scope: practical compatibility for supported script categories only; this release does not claim full Nmap NSE or nselib parity. Profiles/capability checks are runtime execution policy, not authorization or scope enforcement for the embedding application — integrators must authorize operations and enforce target scope independently.

Verification: standalone Linux/macOS CI, Rust 1.89 MSRV, cargo package inspection, and loopback SSH2 runtime qualification are green at this commit. MSRV 1.89, edition 2021, MIT.
