Description
Steps to reproduce
- Enable notifications on reactions, via the API, and set a tweak for sound also.
- Now send a message to someone and tell them to react to it.
- You'll notice that Element triggers only sound notifications but fails to trigger any banner notifications.
P.S: The Nheko client triggers both (sound and banner) successfully, so it is likely an Element only issue.
Outcome
What did you expect?
I expected to see a visual notification like:
"Justin Bieber reacted 👍 to:
Let's jam on Thursday night!"
It's so that we know "who" reacted, "what" reaction / emoji was used, and to "which" message.
You can check out Nheko which successfully triggers a visual pop-up with the sound.
What happened instead?
Only a sound notification was triggered. No visual or banner.
