Breaking changes

  • Require Volt 0.20. Volt now reads JavaScript formatter options from the :volt key of .formatter.exs and raises on a keyword list under config :volt, :format. Move a site's options:

]

    mix astral.install writes them there. See Volt's changelog for the rest of 0.20, including externals staying as imports in ES module output.

Added

  • With Volt 0.20, saving a page, layout, component or collection entry reloads only the open pages whose HTML changed, instead of every page.

  • Pages can be updated in place instead of reloaded, keeping scroll position and mounted islands, with Volt's opt-in setting:

    config :volt, :server, morph: [preserve: "[data-astral-island]"]

Fixed

  • The basic example resolves its dependencies and passes mix check again. Its lockfile predated Volt 0.19, and its lint plugins were atoms, which Volt 0.19 rejects.
