Highlights

The plugin no longer installs Go and builds itself on every run. It now downloads a prebuilt static binary for the agent architecture (linux/amd64 or linux/arm64) from this release, and verifies its SHA-256 checksum. This makes the step faster and uses much less network traffic.

If the download or the checksum check fails, the plugin installs Go and builds from source, as in earlier versions. The plugin output does not change.

How to get this change

Use the plugin with use: in your custom flow:

• The binary version follows the plugin version. @0.5.0 uses the 0.5.0 binary.
• The new optional version input selects a different release binary, for example version: 0.5.0.
• If you copied the old plugin script into your env0.yaml, replace it with use:. A copied script keeps installing Go on every run.
• If you pin an older version (@0.4.x), move to @0.5.0.

Self-hosted agents need access to github.com and release-assets.githubusercontent.com to download the binary. Without it, the plugin builds from source.
