- Taxability rules: whether a kind of sale is taxed, for the API's new
code=parameter. 136 dated rules in the newtaxability_rulestable cover ten codes (groceries, prepared food, catering, SaaS, custom software, professional services, construction, delivery, general goods) in Washington, New York, California, the federal GST/HST, Ontario, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Québec. Each rule cites the agency pages it was read from; a place, code and date without a rule answersnot_researched. - Against 674 sales taken from the agencies' own worked examples in every state, DC and province: 93 right, 0 wrong, 111 declined (the rule turns on facts the code doesn't carry), 470 not yet researched.
- No rate changed: the rate tables are this release's predecessor's, data-2026-10-22-history. The unused research table
tax_rule_rowsis gone.

- Past dates read the outlines in force then: Colorado's and Alaska's outlines are dated by their state service, each change to the day (Colorado: 133 changes since 2024, such as Lochbuie on 2025-01-01).
- Missouri's rates go back to 2023 Q3, from the DOR's archived files; a Missouri address before the current boundary file's quarter is answered from the map and the DOR's own dated lookup.
- Minnesota's and Washington's tax areas are loaded for every quarter they published since 2020.
- California's 558 CDTFA tax areas are indexed as verified areas.
- Nebraska's boundary file NEB2026Q4OCT20. No rate in force today changed.
