MCP Client Python

This is a Python implementation of an MCP (Model Context Protocol) client that can connect to multiple MCP servers and invoke their tools.

Installation

# Clone the repository
git clone https://github.com/era4d/mcp-client-python.git
cd mcp-client-python

# Install dependencies
uv venv
source .venv/bin/activate
uv sync

Configuration

1. Create a .env file to configure the OpenAI API key and base URL:

OPENAI_API_KEY=your_api_key
OPENAI_BASE_URL=https://api.openai.com/v1  # or other compatible API address

2. Configure MCP servers in servers.yaml:
