tests-bogota-devnet@v1.0.0

This is the first test release targeting bogota-devnet-1: EIP-8141 frame transactions with EIP-8250 keyed nonces, EIP-8272 recent roots and EIP-7906 transaction assertions, all at the Bogota pseudo-fork on top of the Amsterdam stack. It supersedes the final frames-devnet-0 release (tests-frames-devnet@v0.3.0) and is built from the devnets/frames/1 branch (not devnet/bogota/1, since the rename came after this release), rebased onto the current forks/bogota.

This release fills every fork through Bogota. The full scope, EIP PRs, and checklist are tracked in the test release tracker (#3727), so PTAL!

Expect follow-up releases as spec PRs land and coverage grows.

Key Updates

  • EIP-8141: the expiry verifier is deployed as an ordinary contract at 0x81413f0cF12e9b6a49B1D0439E081c577D57FfFf instead of installed at activation, so it must be in the devnet genesis (EIPs#12387, #3729, #3735)
  • EIP-8141: approval context is rolled back when a call above APPROVE reverts, frame modes are checked against the valid set, and the params are named in the TXPARAM, FRAMEPARAM and SIGPARAM tables (EIPs#12458, EIPs#12453, EIPs#12469, #3739, #3754), spec pinned at EIPs@6bc5841
  • EIP-8250: keyed nonces, with the nonce manager deployed as an ordinary contract at 0x8250968C12e01A19d6F667b9B2F3b3A4d0e51cB7 and a static bound on nonce_seq (EIPs#12440, #3683, #3736), spec pinned at EIPs@17669e9
  • EIP-8272: recent roots, with the recent root contract deployed as an ordinary contract at 0x8272D9679689Ea2f307140CdF9002D27dC00Ffff (EIPs#12443, #3740), spec pinned at EIPs@5e32ce9
  • EIP-7906: transaction assertions, with TXTRACE, TXDIFF and EVENTDATACOPY at 0xb6-0xb8 and the POST_TX frame mode assigned in the EIP itself, plus the diff semantics and gas clarifications (EIPs#12454, EIPs#12461, EIPs#12444, #3730), spec pinned at EIPs@fedcaf7
  • All three system contracts (expiry verifier, nonce manager, recent root) ship with deployment coverage and must be preloaded in the bogota-devnet-1 genesis at nonce 1, since the fork no longer installs them

First release for `frames-devnet-1`: three new EIPs join EIP-8141 at `Bogota`, and all three system contracts are now ordinary genesis contracts (nonce 1) rather than installed at the fork. Thanks Guru (EIP-8272, EIP-8141 rebases) and Daniil (EIP-8250)!

Hive wiring

  • hive-tests: ethpandaops/hive-tests#110 (the frames workflows now derive devnets/frames/N and the frames-devnet-N client branches from the published fixtures release, no per-devnet bump)
  • hive-ui: no change needed, discovery.json links the frames workflows by their stable names
