Browning 1.32 raises the minimum to PHP 8.2, as 8.1 reached end of life on 31 December 2025, and is tested on PHP 8.2 to 8.6. The library code is unchanged.

Requirements

  • Requires PHP 8.2+, up from 8.1. Composer won't install 1.32 on PHP 8.1, so those sites stay on 1.31.

Supporting

  • Test and lint on PHP 8.2, the new minimum.
  • Install eustasy/.Normal 5.0. Linting runs through the @v5 actions.
  • Bump actions/checkout to v7, along with shivammathur/setup-php and qltysh/qlty-action.
  • Relax the Markdown line-length rule.
