kclaude v1.0.1.1

Fix premature upstream timeouts when a conversation contains many images.

Kiro can take more than 30 seconds after an upload to send response headers. The router now waits up to three minutes. Cancelling a request still stops the wait immediately; retry behavior is unchanged.

Run the install command again to update, then run kclaude stop between active requests. The next launch starts the updated router. Stopping the router can interrupt current responses; terminal tabs and saved conversations remain available.

Verified with a server that delays headers for 31 seconds, a cancellation check, and a live request with 19 images that returned successfully after the previous deadline.

Fix image reads and conversations blocked by request body too large.

  • Claude now receives images returned by Read, including images in earlier turns and parallel tool results.
  • Requests up to 64 MiB reach the router. The old inner 4 MiB limit no longer rejects image-heavy conversations; larger requests return HTTP 413.
  • Chat token estimates exclude image base64 and use an approximate 1,600 tokens per image when Kiro omits usage.
  • Native Claude installations no longer show install method is unknown in the separate profile.

Run the install command again to update. Wait for active requests to finish, run kclaude stop, then resume your conversation with kclaude --resume SESSION_ID. Review visual work produced before this fix because the model may not have received its images.

Verified with Go race tests, Python installer and launcher tests, and a live Opus 5.5 test that read a random code from an image through Claude Code's Read tool and retained the image in a later request.

@github-actions github-actions released this 08 Oct 01:01

Run Claude Code with Opus 5.5 through your own Kiro accounts.

kclaude now looks like your normal Claude Code. On every launch it links your CLAUDE.md, skills, plugins, agents, commands, MCP config, keybindings and project memory from ~/.claude, and rebuilds its settings from yours, so hooks and permissions match. Chat history stays separate. Use KCLAUDE_SOURCE_CONFIG for a different profile, KCLAUDE_SHARED to pick items, or KCLAUDE_SHARE_PROFILE=0 for the old fully separate profile. If an agent installs kclaude for you, point it at "For coding agents installing kclaude" in the README.

Finish active work, run kclaude stop, then update with the installer below.

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/evgenspm/kclaude/main/install.sh | sh
kclaude accounts add personal
cd your-project
kclaude

Requires an installed Claude Code, Python 3.9+, and an eligible Kiro API key. Archives support macOS/Linux on arm64/amd64; the installer checks SHA-256 hashes.

@github-actions github-actions released this 07 Oct 23:32

Run Claude Code with Opus 5.5 through your own Kiro accounts.

Fixes token counters stuck near zero: stop-reason metadata no longer overwrites token estimates with zeros. Thinking and tool arguments are included. Exact upstream counts take priority, and cached input is reported separately.

Kiro API-key responses may omit token counts, so Claude Code's counters are approximate and its dollar estimate is not Kiro billing. Existing zero counts in saved history remain unchanged. Finish active work, run kclaude stop, then update with the installer below; the next launch starts the updated router.

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/evgenspm/kclaude/main/install.sh | sh

cd your-project
kclaude

Requires an installed Claude Code, Python 3.9+, and an eligible Kiro API key. Archives support macOS/Linux on arm64/amd64; the installer checks SHA-256 hashes.

The default launch mode is --dangerously-skip-permissions. Use kclaude --safe for normal permission prompts.

Includes account failover, separate settings/history, and --from-claude session copying. See the README for account setup, limitations, and storage paths. Apache-2.0; independent of Amazon and Anthropic.
