I noticed that I can double click on lines and it will add midpoint nodes, but I'm too zoomed out to see them.
We should make this better.

There are a few ways to address this:

  • better scene management at low zooms - we know this already, see #557-comment - but it would help a lot to show the nodes at this zoom.
  • check the feature's level of detail to decide whether we are too zoomed out to reasonably edit it - #870 had a quick fix for this, but needs refinement.

Sometimes this could be very handy, at water bodies and some roads
