Requires gpuwm>=2.9.4,<2.10.

New:

  • gpuwm-hex regional: one-command limited-area forecasts from HRRR around a point, with mesh, boundaries, products and a stage receipt.
  • Limited-area runs over any named region through gpuwm-hex country --region.
  • Variable-resolution global meshes from gpuwm-hex mesh-plan --global-mesh --generate --run.
  • Storm-following regions authored from tracks, best tracks or IBTrACS with gpuwm-hex moving case, run and products.
  • Storm-following ensembles with gpuwm-hex moving-ensemble, including SPPT and SKEB under local time stepping.
  • Mixed-layer ocean and sea ice on the mesh columns, on by default in subseasonal runs.
  • Aerosol transport (advection, boundary-layer mixing, deposition, settling) in global forecasts, and gpuwm-hex chem-sources to prepare RAVE and GBBEPx smoke, GEOS-FP composition, dust and sea-salt sources.
  • Subseasonal products: weekly means, anomalies, climatology and terciles, member history export, MJO and BSISO indices, weekly scores against ERA5, and hub-height wind and solar energy tables.
  • An 80-level high-top row, global-120km-high-top, for stratospheric runs.
  • Keyless ERA5 initialization from the public ARCO store as --source era5; the CDS route is era5-cds. Lagged ERA5 analysis members for subseasonal ensembles.
  • IVT, freezing height and the 300 hPa jet in the default global products; 850 and 925 hPa winds in regional products.

Fixed:

  • Observation scoring fetches the on-demand engine bridges (rw_asos, rw_prepbufr) before scoring.
  • Radiosonde cells at hours other than 00Z and 12Z are reported as not applicable.
  • An interrupted mesh download resumes.
  • Global ensembles pipeline member groups on each card, size groups by the card's memory, and name each member in its maps.
  • Subseasonal runs accept any length of 7 days or more; --members takes a total count.
  • gpuwm-hex physics list and resolve report the MPAS suite routes the forecast door uses; a suite named through --forecast-arg is the planned and recorded physics.
  • Storm-following members read the selected suite's sea-ice threshold.
  • gpuwm-hex moving run --resume redraws the products of a segment whose product step was interrupted.
  • PyPI uploads run only for version-tag releases.
