Desktop 0.3.0 and CLI 0.4.0 ship together in this release.

What changed

  • Install and manage a personal Bitcoin Core node from Desktop, CLI and agent tools: Mainnet full/pruned profiles, Signet, Testnet4 and experimental Mutinynet.
  • Verify Core archive hashes and at least three independent builder signatures before extraction; discover/adopt existing installations and run a local explorer.
  • See separate Core, index and explorer readiness; use live RGB node states and guided unlock/start actions.
  • Stable Linux launchers survive installation directory changes and upgrades.
  • Read-only Plan mode uses the selected project; plans are saved in its .bitcode/plans directory.
  • The cloud model picker shows the complete provider catalog and respects visibility settings.
  • Includes the checkpoint fixes already on main, the redesigned Desktop and full-screen CLI.

Downloads

  • CLI: bitcode-0.4.0.tgz (Node.js 22 or later)

Install a downloaded Debian package with sudo apt install ./bitcode-desktop_0.3.0_amd64.deb (choose the ARM64 filename on ARM64).

Install the CLI archive with npm install -g ./bitcode-0.4.0.tgz. Installing the CLI does not run native build lifecycle scripts.

Check downloaded files with sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS. release-provenance.json identifies each package, its hash and the verified source commit.

Verification

Release commit: 811423fee118fbb0107da0bbb208e92657bc30af.

  • Final CI on main: Node 22/24 and browser checks passed.
  • Final native release verification on main: x64 and ARM64 passed 278 runtime tests and 74 Desktop tests each, with zero skipped; verified Core smoke, Debian assembly and actual package payload checks passed.
  • Live host acceptance on 2026-10-30 confirmed Mainnet, Signet and Mutinynet fully synchronized, with Core indexes and explorer APIs ready.
  • Package-level checks and native wizard results are included in the attached verification report.
