v0.30.0
Signing in to an extension is explained to the model, a project's own servers no longer get in an extension's way, and catalogs say what each extension holds.
New features
- The model knows how to sign in (#82). An extension whose remote server waits for a sign-in has no tools yet, nor the skill that would say how, so the model used to suggest Claude Code's
/mcpor claude.ai's connectors. Now a session with remote extensions tells it, in its prompt and with the person's message when one waits (again after/extensions sign-out), to ask for/extensions sign-in <name>.about_melists the extensions waiting, and/extensionsno longer lists their capabilities' tools as missing. Tried with Canva: "busca mis diseños" is answered with/extensions sign-in canva. - A technical sheet per extension in catalog.json (#80).
@falkenslab/agent-kit-catalog0.7.0 writes what each extension holds: its MCP servers (an npm package with its version, a program it brings, a remote host, never a secret), its skills, commands and subagents with their descriptions, the tools its manifest knows with their labels and marks (readOnly, confirm), and the agent-kit range it works with.
Fixes
- A project server duplicating an extension's is left out (#83). A project's own
.mcp.json(left by Claude Code) declaring the same remote URL or npm package as an installed extension started a second server beside the extension's: its sign-in notice misled the model, and an unpinned copy got around the extension's version and settings. That duplicate is now denied by name; every other project server stays./extensionsandabout_mesay which was left out. extension --helpshows the usage (#81).extension update --helpupdated every extension: unknown flags were ignored. Now--help(or-h) after an action prints its usage and changes nothing, and a flag the action doesn't take fails before anything runs.
Internal
- The documentation site builds with Docusaurus Faster: about 3 minutes instead of 9.
Captain Whiskers
Captain Whiskers 0.6.1, the example agent, now built on agent-kit 0.30.0, as a Windows app: download the installer. It's unsigned, so SmartScreen warns about it; it asks for a Claude key on first start and keeps everything in ~/.captain-whiskers. The same captain as with 0.29.0, on the new kit.
