SteepVR v0.1.0
SteepVR v0.1.0 renders two native engine eyes within the same simulation interval and submits complete stereo pairs through OpenXR. Head tracking follows the third-person game camera, with normal keyboard, mouse and gamepad controls.
Quest Link testing confirmed stable stereo and tracking while riding, head-facing scenery culling, tree shadows, corrected HUD/pause menu/map across no MSAA, 2x and 4x, and removal of the identified lens flares. The launcher uses the headset's recommended eye dimensions and frame timing. The unused controller view's GPU passes are skipped to improve performance while preserving both native VR eyes and shared scene work. High render resolutions remain demanding; performance varies with the scene.
Download SteepVR-0.1.0.zip, extract it, connect Quest Link, and run Prepare-SteepVR.cmd with Steep closed. Launch Steep normally, enter free roam, then run Start-SteepVR.cmd and press F9 facing forward. F6 switches to the stereo screen, F8 captures both eyes, and F10 stops. Restart Steep before loading the mod again after stopping it. See the README for configuration and display-setting restoration.
This is an initial prerelease. Validation covers Quest Link free roam and riding. Other game modes/runtimes and the 8x MSAA UI path are untested. Motion controls and experimental peripheral shading are not included.
The launcher and native guard require this game executable SHA-256:
e8b14fe6f3b45975080f1b8e78249bf8fefbbd73ee4c182156c0b8a66452e8cb
The ZIP contains the exact native DLL and companion used in the headset-confirmed continuous performance build. A clean public source build passed the camera/projection checks, and compiled code before relocation matched the tested runtime objects. Payload checksums and a ZIP SHA-256 file are included. The game executable and assets are not distributed.
