Getting set up takes ridiculously long and is incredibly frustrating.
Using docker will help a lot of people get started quickly.

Quickly realized this was not enough.

I've an image built from that's a hybrid of a couple Dockerfiles and whatever missing dependencies I come across exploring the course notebooks.

Our experiences with deep learning on docker have been negative and we don't recommend it to our students. If you have specific issues with the AWS setup we describe, please ask them on our aws setup forum thread
