Install

The curl one-liner (ferdousbhai.com/ghost/install.sh) is retired. Install the package as above; getting started gives the setup commands it ran. If omarchy update fails on ghost.db, the old self-hosted [ghost] repository is still configured; the same page has the three commands that remove it.

Removed

• ghost mcp serve. Harnesses load ghost-desktop directly as their ghost MCP server; point any MCP client you configured by hand at ghost-desktop.
• ghostd api-token --rotate. To replace the token, delete it and restart ghostd.
• ghostd remote. Use ghost remote.
• GET /api/hooks. The owner-only GET /api/hooks/config returns the admitted hooks.json.
• eligible and reason in the harness report (/harness, ghost harnesses).
• remote.enabled in config.json is ignored: Tailscale Serve remembers remote access. Turning remote access on again moves an HTTP entry to HTTPS once the tailnet has certificates; ghostd no longer does it on its own.

Changed

• The HUD shows a live turn's tool cards, after the message's text, and the activity line keeps a running command or path whole.
• Browser work runs through agent-browser from the harness's Bash tool.
• Optional Recall ranking of conversation summaries and on-demand Documents recall.
• Conversation logs are indexed for paged reads; owner !command output streams raw.
• A pi turn stands when pi's own retry recovers it.
• Desktop notifications are plain text, not raw markdown.
