Beetle v0.1.1
Beetle v0.1.1
Two new ways to light the strip: a rainbow, and a mode that reacts to what your PC is playing.
Rainbow mode
- Cycles the strip smoothly through every colour, from one trip every 60 seconds to one every 3.
- The speed changes while it runs, without the colour jumping.
Music mode
- Reacts to whatever your PC is playing: music, video or games. It listens to Windows' audio
output, never the microphone. - Loudness sets the brightness, flaring on each hit and fading quickly; with nothing playing the
strip settles to a dim glow. - Beats move the colour. Beetle adapts to the overall volume, so quiet and loud tracks both move
the strip, and a Sensitivity slider sets how strongly it reacts.
Beat colours
- Pick colours for music mode and each beat jumps to the next one in the order you picked them,
holding it until the following beat. Red, white and blue, say, instead of the whole wheel. - Use the preset swatches or add the Color card's current colour. All colours goes back to the wheel.
Everything else
- Ambient, rainbow and music take turns: starting one stops the others. The tray menu controls all
three. - Beetle runs on the .NET 10 runtime, which the installer does not bundle. If it is missing,
Windows offers to download it the first time Beetle starts.
