Pelmet 0.2.30
Pelmet 0.2.30
New:
- A Timer item. macOS's own timer is one of the Control Center items the
system pulls out of the bar whenever any icon is hidden, and nothing
outside Apple's apps can read it, so Pelmet runs its own: click for a
duration (1 minute to an hour, or Custom…), it counts down in the bar,
rings and posts a banner at zero, and it stays in the bar while your
icons are hidden. Pause, add a minute, cancel from its menu. A relaunch
keeps it counting. It can't mirror a timer started in Clock or with
Siri (#22). - A Fast user switching item, since macOS hides that menu the same way:
other users, Login Window, Lock Screen, Users & Groups. - Both are in Settings › Menu Bar › Pelmet items, and the FAQ names every
item macOS hides on its own.
Fixed:
- After an update (or any quick quit-and-relaunch), Pelmet could come back
without its hidden separators: the previous instance's helper processes
were still winding down and the new Pelmet adopted them instead of
starting fresh. Helpers now exit the instant Pelmet does, and a leftover
one is replaced. - A hidden-section separator's position after a reveal was read as your
arrangement and could reorder the section; it holds its slot now, like
every other Pelmet item. - Fewer accessibility walks and window-list reads per hover reveal.
